Xbox integration windows 8
Windows 8 has XBOX through all through it for games, video and music yet it doesn't seem to see all my stuff. I use my windows Live ID So this should know all my purchases and devices. My Android google account knows, and so does my iTunes account.
I purchase an app on an iPhone and its available on the iPhone and iPad. My expectation with all this new streamlined Windows 8, Xbox, Windows Phone 8 is this same. Is this wrong of me to ASSume this? I figured that through Beta that these weren't working because, well, it was Beta. But now that its launched and things are online I am not liking what I am seeing thus far.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. But my understanding is that the integration is supposed to be there. Don't know why it's not, and right now I don't have a great way to test it since I don't have an Xbox. I do have a friend who has a Windows Phone and just upgraded her laptop to Windows 8 Pro, and she said that though it took a couple of days, she was able finally to see integration of game apps from her Windows phone to her Win8 laptop, so presumably it's working Me personally I'm waiting for Android integration -- they already started with the Hotmail app, and the OneNote app I hope this gets ironed out.
It would really suck if they force us to purchase the app across each device. The SmartGlass app lets you to directly control your console via Windows 8 itself. In effect, you use the small screen of your Windows 8 device to affect something on the big screen of your Xbox-connected TV. Lackluster title support hurts right now, with SmartGlass interaction largely limited to Microsoft Studios titles such as Halo 4 and Forza Horizon. One of the more eye-catching benefits of the new friendship between Windows 8 and Xbox is the ability to push content from your PC to your console in two different ways with very similar naming schemes.
The media file should start on your console right away, and Play to Xbox functions as any other streaming media solution does—both the console and your Windows 8 device have to be up, running, and connected to your network to successfully stream music or movies. Xbox will receive a dashboard update later this year that will feature a new Metro-style layout. Users will also be able to view profiles, friends gamerscore and even compare your games with your friends. The power of Async will connect gamers on all platforms, no matter where in the world you are.
This will help manage clan matches and connect you with friends. Developers will have a sigh of relief knowing that Microsoft is introducing enhanced security measures with their Windows 8 games.
Pirated games will not be able to unlock achievements, use leaderboards, play online with friends or any other service that Xbox LIVE offers when a game has been detected as illegitimate. To date, users have unlocked trillion gamer score, yes, trillion. Windows 8 Xbox LIVE integration definitely has a lot of potential to become a huge success with not only advanced gamers, but tablet users who just want to play a simple card game.
